Dear believers,
You don’t have to grow cold just because you missed a day or two of your devotion. While we should not become comfortable with spiritual neglect, don’t allow a temporary setback to keep you away from God.
The danger lies in allowing the enemy to use your moment of weakness to keep you down with guilt and condemnation.
If you’ve fallen, you can rise again. The Lord is merciful and ready to receive you. He is not holding your mistake against you.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him…” Luke 15:20
This verse is from the parable of the prodigal son, and it vividly portrays God’s heart toward those who return.
Don’t stay discouraged; pick yourself up, return to Him, and start again.
Every new day is another opportunity to draw closer to God.
